2 Easy Ways To Meal Prep Green Smoothies



Smoothies are a great way to sneak vegetables into your diet without sacrificing taste for a nutritious on the go meal or snack. For an every day green smoothie I  find that it is easier to meal prep the ingredients ahead of time so when I’m on the go I don’t waste anytime or choose an unhealthy option because of lack of time on the go.

Kale can be tough on your digestive system if you consume too much of it so I like to alternate between a kale and spinach based smoothie every day. Here are two easy recipes that you can prepare ahead of time and just put all of the ingredients  in a sandwich sized bag and pull out of the freezer and just add water as needed.

Kale Based Green Smoothie:

1 Cup Sliced Apple
1/2 Of A Banana
1/2 Cup chopped Kale
1/4 Cup Parsley
1/4 Cup Chopped Pineapple

*Put all of the ingredients in a zip lock bag and store in the freezer until you are ready to use it.

When you are ready to use it just add all of the ingredients into the blender and blend with 2 cups of water.

Spinach Based Green Smoothie:

PicMonkey Collage spinach

1 Cup Spinach
1 Cup Apple
1/2 Cup Strawberries
1/2 Of A Banana

*Store the prepared baggies in the freezer and add the ingredients into a blender with 1 1/2 cup of water when needed.

Optional: I also add 1 pack of It Works Greens to both of these green smoothies and 2 tablespoons of chia seeds when it comes time to blend with water.
